Barrington Man, Facing Sex Assault Charges, Arrested Again

Mitchell Jacques, accused of forcing sex on a 14-year-old girl, faces a domestic disorderly charge.

The 18-year-old Barrington man charged with a 2012 sexual assault appeared in court on Oct. 23 for failure to attend an arraignment on another charge.

Mitchell Jacques, of 271 Lincoln Ave., faces one count of domestic disorderly conduct following his arrest on Sept. 24, and is awaiting trial in Family Court on another charge.

Barrington Police allege that Jacques forced a 14-year-old girl into a sexual act with him in February 2012, and has been harassing the girl at Barrington High School and through repeated text messages.

According to online court records, Jacques was due for arraignment on Oct. 2, but did not appear. Following his arrest on Oct. 23, Jacques entered a not guilty plea and was released on personal recognizance.

Jacques is next due in court on Nov. 8 for a pre-trial hearing on the domestic disorderly charge.
