About Amy
Amy Ames has lived in Barrington for 12 years. Among other things, she's a wife, mother of three boys, friend to many, daughter to two fabulous parents (with a lot of patience) and sister to 6 siblings scattered far and wide. Her body of work includes running the non-profit, Heartworks, an acts of kindness group in Barrington that empowers women to reach out to others experiencing challenging life circumstances. She is a consultant at Brown University and runs the Women's Fellowship at St. Luke's Church.
She comes to Patch as Contributor for the "Mom's Column" and hopes that through her writing she can help to "normalize" life for all the mom's out there dealing with the everyday craziness motherhood brings!
