Shoplifting Leads to Cocaine Charge
An East Providence women allegedly stole several items from the Barrington CVS before she was arrested in her driveway in possession of cocaine.
Barrington police charged an East Providence woman with shoplifting from the CVS Pharmacy on County Road last week – a charge that led to a separate charge of possession of cocaine by East Providence police. Rebecca C. Petrucci, 46, of 59 Follett St., allegedly walked out of the CVS Tuesday afternoon with several packs of cigarettes and a candle to get her wallet out of a car. The items had been scanned in by the cashier, police said. When the woman didn’t return to pay for the items, the cashier walked outside and got the license number of Petrucci’s vehicle as the car left the parking lot. It was turned over to Barrington police, who sent out a be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) call to neighboring police departments. The car also was traced to …
