An unknown amount of cash is reported stolen to Barrington police from envelopes after the church is broken into overnight last Friday.
A break-in at Holy Angels Church on Maple Avenue was reported to Barrington police on Friday morning, Feb. 15. The break-in is believed to have occurred sometime between 3 pm on Thursday, Feb. 14, and 9 am on Feb. 15. It was reported at around 10 am by two women who showed up to clean the church, according to Barrington police. Investigating officers found pry marks and a damaged lock on a door to the parish office. An unknown amount of cash was reported taken from envelopes from parishioners that were left in the office after the most recent Mass. The investigation continues.
