Another 'Drug Take Back' Coming Up

The Barrington Police Station will have boxes for you to drop in your unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday, Sept. 29; stick a note on your medicine cabinet.

Another “Drug Take Back” is coming up on Saturday, Sept. 29. It’s a day for you to rid your house of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. The “take back” involves the Barrington Police Department, the BAY Team – Barrington’s prevention coalition, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) working as partners to prevent pill abuse and theft. “Our local Drug Take Back events have been very successful," said Kathleen Sullivan, program director for the BAY Team. “We appreciate the time and effort that community members take to rid their homes of potentially dangerous medications.” She gave particular praise to the BAY Team's take back committee.
