Maria Vargas of Barrington passed away at the age of 84.
The following obituary was provided by Perry-McStay Funeral Home. Maria A. Vargas of Barrington passed away Monday, Dec. 3 at the age of 84. She was wife of the late Manuel Garcia Vargas. Born in the Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose F. and Maria A. (dosSantos) Oliveira. Vargas was the owner and operator of Vargas Upholstery for the past 51 years. She leaves behind two sisters (Ana Caldeira and Adelina Lobao), one brother (Jose Oliveira), two necies and two nephews all from California. Her funeral is scheduled for Thursday at 9 a.m. at Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave. in East Providence. The following obituary was provided by Smith Mason Funeral Home. Audrey H. Mason of Melrose Avenue in Barrington passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Grace Barker Nursing Center in Warren. She was 88. Born in Randolph, Mass., she was daughter to the late Arthur and Bertha (LaJoi) Hayden. She was the wife of the late Frederick Mason, Jr. She was a graduate of Nantucket High School and former member of the Barrington Yacht Club. Audrey loved her home, her garden, watercolor painting, photograghy, and a lively game of cards; however, the principal focus of her life was the care of her disabled daughter Abby.
