TAP-IN is a volunteer, nonprofit organization that helps residents of Barrington, East Providence, Warren and Bristol meet their basic needs for food, household items, children's clothing, infant equipment, toys and books and transportation to medical appointments. Located in the lower level of the Barrington Public Library, it draws upon the skills and commitment of more than 100 volunteers, primarily from Barrington.
Founded in 1983 as an information referral agency, TAP-IN has expanded far beyond its original mission. It accepts donations of non-perishable food, furniture, clothing, food vouchers, gift cards and cash. You can find it on Facebook and its website is under construction.
