'Toe Jam Puppet Band' Returning to Barrington

The Barrington Early Childhood Center is sponsoring the children's band on Saturday afternoon at the middle school.

The Toe Jam Puppet Band returns to Barrington this weekend.

Always a hit, Toe Jam combines music with dancing, puppetry and storytelling for younger children. It performs on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 16, at the Barrington Middle School.

The one-hour show – from 3 to 4 pm – is described as an “interactive experience that is fun for young children and adults alike.” It is sponsored by the Barrington Early Childhood Center in Primrose Hill.

Formed in 2000, the Toe Jam Puppet Band offers a special brand of interactive children’s entertainment that grown-ups can actually enjoy, according to its website.  The dynamic group is great with kids, but best when parents are having fun with their little ones.

The performances are very active, encouraging kids and parents to sing and dance along with the band as they entertain with a combination of original songs, shadow puppetry, storytelling and just plain old fun, according to the website.
