Enjoy Holiday Music at Presbyterian Church

The music program at Barrington Presbyterian Church hosts a holiday concert on Sunday afternoon.

A Christmas concert featuring your favorite holiday music and some lesser-known works takes place at the Barrington Presbyterian Church on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 15.

The hour-long program, “Cantante de Adventum,” will include music performed by the church’s mixed adult Chancel Choir, the Youth Choir, the women’s and men’s choirs and solo vocalists and instrumentalists, according to John Black, music program director.

Black describes the concert as “a diverse, fun program for the while family.” It starts at 3 pm.

Admission is free. A free-will collection will be taken to help support the work of the music program.

The music program theb will go on the road to Newport next Saturday evening, Dec. 21, to perform at the mansions for the third consecutive holiday season. This year’s performance will take place at Marble House.

Christmas selections for choir and vocal and instrumental soloists will be performed. The event starts at 6 pm with the Presbyterian church’s performers singing and playing until 7 pm.

Tickets for the Newport mansions event are $28 for adults if purchased in advance and $35 at the door. Children ages 6 to 17 can attend for $10.

Tickets also allow admission to The Elms and Marble House.
