The four-week, Conservation Commission-sponsored film series, “Earth Matters,” continues in the Barrington library auditorium today, Sept. 23, at 7 pm with “Fuel” – a Sundance Audience Award winner that looks into the future and a wide range of renewable energy and bio-fuels by eco-evangelist and filmmaker Josh Tickell.

The East Bay Chamber of Commerce hosts a free marketing workshop on social media today, Sept. 23, at 4 pm at 16 Cutler St. Small businesses and non-profit organizations can learn essential strategies and best practices for successful social media marketing.

Barrington’s Girl Scout troops hold their annual registration today, Sept. 23, at the Barrington Presbyterian Church, 400 County Road, at 6 pm. You can also volunteer to help lead troops, plan activities and help make a difference in a girl’s life.

Support Literacy Volunteers of East Bay by attending the first production of the new year at 2nd Story Theatre in Warren on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 8 pm. It presents “Dancing at Lughnasa,” the 1992 Tony Award Winner for best play. Call 401-247-2177 and ask for Elizabeth to buy tickets.
