'Trails Day' Celebration in Vets Park (Cancelled)

A coalition of Barrington conservation and environmental groups is hosting a celebration of National Trails Day in Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday morning.

Celebrate “National Trails Day” on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Park in Barrington.

The , the Barrington Conservation Commission, the Town of Barrington, the and the National Park Service River and Trails Program are sponsoring the celebration. It runs from 10 to 11:30 am.

“Join us to see the progress we've made in the restoration and improvements to your community park over the past two years,” said Helen Tjader of the Land Trust. “Walk a brand new trail! Learn about upcoming projects. Check out the new sign kiosks, which include quotes from and about veterans - both local and national.”

Veterans Park is “a jewel in Barrington’s necklace of open spaces,” she said. “Find out for yourself.”

Park in the Veterans Park lot at the end of the access road that passes between the Bayside YMCA and the baseball field off of West Street.
