Sponsor, Play in Recreation Golf Tourney

The Barrington Recreation Department is still looking for sponsors for its annual golf tournament played each October at Rhode Island Country Club.

The date of the tourney this year is Oct. 21.

“We are looking for local businesses to sponsor the event,” said Barrington Recreation Director Michele Geremia. “The tournament is open to Barrington residents and their out-of-town friends. Last year, we had more than 100 participants.

A couple of sponsorship options are available:

Sponsor a tee = $100 – Company logo at tee, on tournament banner and recognition at the golf reception

Gift basket – Company recognition at the golf reception

“We are hopeful you will help make the event memorable and gain valuable exposure for your business at the same time,” Geremia said. “Your donation is tax deductible as well.”

“We would love for you to play, too,” she said. 

More information on the event will be available soon on the town website.

The country club course overlook Narragansett Bay off of Nayat Road. It is considered one of the finest courses in New England and hosts each year the CVS Caremark Charity Classic in June.
