Boys', Girls' X-Country Teams Take 1st, 2nd Places

Barrington High Schools boys take Class B title; girls come in second in Class A.

Barrington High School’s boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams came in first and second in their respective meets last Saturday, Oct. 26, at Ponaganset High School.

The boys took the Class B championship, according to eastbayri.com. The girls placed second in the Class A race behind La Salle Academy on the Covered Bridge Trail course.

Mars Bishop won the Class B race in pacing the Eagles to the win. He ran the 3.1-mile course in 17 minutes, 11 seconds. Emma McMillan, the 2012 individual state champion, placed second in the Class A event this year with a time of 18:04.
