Town Councilor to Head Marketing Group

Bill DeWitt elected president of the New England Financial Marketing Association (NEFMA).

The New England Financial Marketing Association (NEFMA) has elected William C. DeWitt, of Barrington and a partner at HCC Marketing in Barrington, as president of the association.

DeWitt, a Town Councilor, is an advertising veteran with more than 20 years of both agency and client experience. 

He was a product manager at Fleet Financial Group, Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing Communications at Citizens Financial Group, and served as Senior Vice President/Director of Marketing at Bank Rhode Island.

DeWitt also spent five years on the agency side with two of America’s leading advertising agencies, Arnold Worldwide and Deutsch. In 2010, he joined HHC Marketing, a full-service marketing communications company.

DeWitt also serves on the board of directors of the Girl Scouts of Rhode Island, and as a consultant to the Barrington Adult Youth Team (BAY Team) the town's substance abuse prevention task force. He holds a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Duke University.
