Kraunelis, Teammates Take Golf Title

Barrington's David Kraunelis is a state champ; so is Barrington High School.

David Kraunelis and his teammates on the golf team at Barrington High School are state champions, according to the Providence Journal.

Kraunelis, a junior, shot a 69 and a 70 over two rounds in the two-day tournament at Cranston Country Club to claim the individual title by seven shots. Barrington’s team score was 600, which gave them a five-shot margin of victory over Portsmouth.

The team title was the fifth in six years for the high school golfers and the 23rd all time, according to eastbayri.com.
