Eat Pizza Tonight, Benefit AfterProm

Donations for Barrington High School AfterProm are way down so far this year.

Make tonight your pizza night this week and help the Barrington AfterProm at the same time.

Flatbread Pizza in Providence is spotlighting the AfterProm today. A portion of all pizza shop's sales between 5 and 9 pm will be donated to the AfterProm, said Jamie Triebwasser, a coordinator of the annual event.

“Donations are way down so far this year,” said Triebwasser of the AfterProm event. “We’re told we can make from $400 to $1,000 with a good turnout.”

“The pizza is very good,” said Triebwasser, who attended a recent friends and family night at the shop at 161 Cushing Street just off of Thayer Street on the East Side. “It’s the first time we’ve tried to this type of fundraiser.”

Of course, you can always write a check to the Barrington AfterProm and mail it to the high school or drop it in the AfterProm box in the high school office.
