Eagles Roll in Injury Fund Clash

Barrington High School scores 4 TDs in 2 quarters against Rogers High to win Injury Fund clash.

Barrington High School’s 2012 football team defeated Rogers High of Newport last Thursday night, Aug. 30, by a 28-16 score in the annual Injury Fund game, according to the Barrington Times.

The Eagles scores touchdowns on four of their six possessions in the two-quarter game. The game was played at Portsmouth High School.

Quarterback Jacob Simons threw three touchdown passes. The Eagles rolled up 214 yards in total offense on 22 plays, according to the Barrington Times.

“I was happy the way we executed on offense,” said Barrington’s coach, Bill McCagney. “They looked pretty sharp. I really don’t care about the score in a scrimmage but it was nice to win.”
