Eagles Blanked by Quakers, 3-0, in Field Hockey Title Match

Barrington High School girls' field hockey team drops Division I championship match for second straight year to Moses Brown.

The first loss of the 2013 season for the Barrington High School girls’ field hockey team on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 3, was a big one.

The team was blanked by defending state champion Moses Brown, 3-0, at Roger Williams University, according to the Providence Journal. It made the Eagles the runners-up for two straight years to the Quakers in the RI Interscholastic League’s Division I field hockey championships.

The teams had played to a 1-1 tie during the regular season as Barrington took the top spot in Division I North and Moses Brown took the top spot in Division I South.

Barrington finished with a 18-1-1 over all record. Moses Brown finished unbeaten at 16-0-3.
