Town Seeks 16 Volunteers, Including 12 for Charter Review Commission

The Barrington Town Council must appoint 16 volunteers for 4 boards and commissions, including 12 to review the charter.

The Barrington Town Council is looking for 16 volunteers to serve on four boards and commissions, including a new Charter Review Commission.

A dozen volunteers are needed for the Charter Review Commission, which reviews Barrington’s charter every 10 years. You must be a qualified elector.

The Board of Canvassers has one vacancy. You must be a registered Republican or a registered Moderate to fill an unexpired term that ends on March 31, 2015.  There is a small stipend.

The Energy Committee, previously known as the Committee for Renewable Energy Barrington (CREB) has a vacancy. The volunteer would fill an unexpired term that ends in November.

The Housing Board of Trustees has two vacancies: A third alternate to fill an unexpired term ending October, 2014; a second alternate to fill an unexpired term ending in October 2015.

You can get a résumé form on the Barrington website at the Town Clerk's Office in Town Hall, or at the Barrington Library. 

The deadline to submit your résumé to the Town Clerk’s Office is next Thursday, July 11.
