You might be one of 10,000 people to receive a survey this week seeking input on what you see are the most important needs of Rhode Island in general and Barrington in particular.
The survey is coming from the RI Community Action Association and its partners, which include the East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) in Riverside that serves Barrington.
The survey will look at needs for health, transportation, nutrition, child care, jobs, activities for teens, housing, education and debt.
“With Rhode Island unemployment still extremely high compared to the rest of the nation, and cuts to services continuing,” according to the community action assocition, “it is more important than ever to understand the needs of our community.”
All survey results will be kept confidential, according to RICAA. The survey results will be used to draft a report that outlines statewide needs as well as needs specific to East Providence.
The report will then be shared with elected officials, state departments, and other stakeholders in Rhode Island, according to the community action association.
If you have any other questions about the survey, contact Paula McFarland at 941-0774 ext. 5 or email@example.com.
