Readers' Choice: Avessa for Pedicure

Avessa Salon & Day Spa is the top choice among Patch readers for a pedicure.

The popular spa on Maple Avenue just west of County Road garnered a whopping 81 percent of the votes in the most recent Readers Choice Patch poll. The poll ran this week before ending this morning at 9 am. It asked voters to pick the best spot in Barrington for pedicure.

on Maple Avenue garnered 7 percent of the more than 700 votes cast to finish in second place. Serenity Nails & Spa on Waseca Avenue got 3 percent to finish third.

“It’s wonderful to be appreciated by your customers,” said Ellen Ricci, Avessa owner and a Barrington resident. “We’re happy to provide the service.”

Ricci said she is convinced her sanitized pedicure system is part of its popularity.

“It’s very important to me to have the cleanest salon around,” she said. “We go above and beyond to do that.”

Other Barrington spas in the poll included on Washington Road; and on Waseca Avenue; , and on West Street; , , and on County Road,  and on Bosworth Street.
