Housing Board of Trustees' Meeting Cancelled

Forecast for snow into the evening puts halt to meeting of Barrington board.

The Barrington Housing Board of Trustees' meeting scheduled for tonight, Dec. 17, in the Senior Center has been cancelled, according to Steve Martin, chairman of the board.

Martin said the meeting will not be rescheduled. All agenda items will be carried over to the January meeting.

Among those agenda items is a discussion of scheduling a workshop with the Town Council to set up a revolving fund to purchase existing homes as affordable housing and the board's goals for 2014.

A briefing on the State Housing Appeals Board's hearing last week on North End Holdings appeal of the rejection of its application for a condominium project in Nockum Hill by the planning board also was on the agenda. But a decision on that appeal is expected to be made before the Housing Board's January meeting.
