Firefighter Promoted to Lieutenant

Barrington firefighter Jason Fanion was promoted to lieutenant Monday night, July 30, at the start of the Town Council meeting.

The brief ceremony was highlighted by the pinning of Fanion’s new bars on his uniform by his wife, Heidi. His children looked on.

Barrington Fire Chief Gerald Bessette swore in Fanion as a lieutenant and provided a brief look at his achievements and responsibilities.

Among his duties, said Bessette, are serving as an EMT/cardiac and a fire instructor, and managing the department’s website www.barringtonrifire.com/.
