Barrington Extending Beach Hours for Heat

Barrington Beach facilities will be open and lifeguards will be on duty until 7:30 pm today, Thursday and Friday.

Barrington is extending the hours at the town beach for the next three days to help residents try to cool off.

“Due to the extreme temperatures forecast,” said Recreation Director Michele Geremia, “we will be extending the beach hours tonight (July 17), Thursday and Friday of this week.”

“We know that people will be trying to keep cool over the next three days,” she said. “So, we are keeping the shower and bathroom facilities and the first aid station open until 7:30 pm each of these nights.
