Barrington Beach Shut Down

RI Health Department recommends closure after routine testing shows high bacteria counts.

Barrington beach has been closed until further notice because of high bacteria counts.

The Rhode Island Health Department contacted Barrington today during the late afternoon and recommended the closure.

Water samples will be taken again Saturday and sent to the health department. There is a typical 24-hour turnaround to get results so it is likely that the beach will be closed Saturday.
