Vacation Ends When Couple Finds Someone Lived in Their Home

Barrington residents get quite a shock when they return home from vacation on Sunday night.

You’ve just enjoyed a wonderful vacation. Now you have to return to your home in Barrington and go back to work.

If that isn’t kind of depressing enough, how would you like to get home and find that someone has been living in your house while you were out of town?

The Barrington police received exactly that call on Sunday, July 28, at about 10:42 pm from a Fireside Drive resident.

The homeowners came back from vacation and found that someone appears to have been squatting in their house while they were away. 

Details about the breaking and entering were not complete as of Monday morning, said Barrington Police Chief John LaCross.
