State Police Getting Training at Police Cove

Barrington location chosen by RI and Massachusetts State Police for in-water and dry-land rescue training.

Don't be alarmed.

The Rhode Island and Massachusetts State Police vehicles parked at Police Cove in Barrington this morning, Sept. 25, are part of in-water search and rescue training, according to Barrington Police Chief John LaCross.

LaCross said the training will include instructional time on dry land as well. Most of the training is being conducted near the bike path bridge.
