Reminder: Fireworks Banned in Barrington Fields, Playgrounds and Beaches

Both legal and illegal fireworks are prohibited from being discharged on all Town properties such as Allin's Cove, the Barrington Town Beach, school fields or playgrounds.

The Barrington Police Department is informing the public that although some fireworks are legal, there are many that are not.  So there is no confusion, the following fireworks are illegal:

Any firecrackers, M-80's, block busters, bottle rockets, roman candles, mortars, or any other devices that launch a projectile and/or make a “bang”/detonation/report are NOT LEGAL under RI General Laws 11-13-1.

Cone displays that shoot sparks upwards to 3-7 feet and make crackling sounds which are sold in stores are legal.
