A Barrington police investigation continues into a report of vandalism to a blue Audi parked in the driveway of a Terrace Drive home early Sunday morning, Jan. 29.
The rear window of the vehicle was smashed by a large rock at about 1:03 am, police said. The vehicle also had been “egged” -- and not the first time, police said the owner reported.
Several juveniles were observed running toward Governor Bradford Drive after a woman at the home came out of the house after hearing the window being smashed, police said. One suspect was described as wearing a black beanie and another was reported wearing a flannel shirt.
A silver BMW also was spotted in the area, police said. A car matching that description later was found parked on Bay Road near Water Way about 1:42 am, police said, after a caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the area.
The juvenile occupants of the vehicle were questioned, police said. But no charges have been filed yet.
