Police Extend Parking Ban

Barrington police announce a parking ban on town streets from 6 pm Saturday to noon on Sunday, Dec. 30.

Barrington’s winter parking ban has been extended to from 6 pm tonight to noon on Sunday because of the snow storm. It normally runs from 11 pm to 6 am.

You cannot park your vehicle on any town street after one inch or more of snow has fallen and for 12 hours after a snowfall of one inch or more. The ban does not apply to state highways.

If you disobey the ordinance, the Barrington police chief and public works director can tow away your vehicle if it interferes with snow removal.
