Dog-Tossing Man Busted for B&E

Police also charge man with violating a restraining order.

A Barrington man has been charged with breaking and entering and violating a restraining order given to his estranged wife. 

David Silvia, 52, of 19 Whipple Ave., allegedly threw his wife’s “small dog” into a Woodmont Court house where she works as a nanny, said Barrington Police Chief John LaCross.

The incident occurred very early Saturday morning, Nov. 16, with the homeowners’ at home. Silvia was arrested on a warrant around 7:20 pm on Saturday evening.

Silvia was arraigned in the Barrington police station by a justice of the peace. He was taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions and given a date to appear in District Court to face the charges.
