Inspection Stickers, Oxycontin Pills Disappear

Barrington police are investigating two alleged larcenies.

Barrington police were contacted late last week about two alleged larcenies.

On Thursday morning, July 12, Patrol Officer John Sgagliardich responded to a report of an alleged theft of two RI state inspection stickers from DeStefano Auto Service on New Meadow Road.

The alleged larceny is believed to involve a former employee who was terminated recently, according to the police report.

Then on Friday morning, July 13, Patrol Officer Timothy Oser responded to a report from a Rumstick Road man that 10 oxycontin pills were missing from a bottle he left inside his pickup truck.

The construction worker told police that he suspects a fellow worker took the pills.

Both reported larcenies remain under investigation.
