Boy home alone reportedly scraped a tree with his mother's car while driving a friend home.

The initial report to the Barrington police said there was a hit and run accident on Christine Drive late last Saturday night, Dec. 14.

It ended up with a 15-year-old boy getting cited for driving without a license.

The teen, left at home alone by parents on vacation in Florida, called police and told them that a Chevrolet Avalanche struck his parents’ Mercedes while it was parking in the driveway. And then it fled down the street.
