Maria A. Jendza, 52, Owner of Children's Village

Her calling hours are today and her funeral is Tuesday from the Nardolillo Funeral Home in Cranston.

Maria A. (Giacomini) Jendza, of Barrington, passed away very peacefully on to the next phase of her life on Nov. 1, 2013. She was 52.

She made her journey on to the next phase of her life with her family by her side. Although she remains with us in spirit and memory, behind her remains a loving and devoted husband, Louis Jendza, loving daughters Nicole Gasbarro and Lea Bassett and her husband Zachary, and a loving son Nathan Jendza. She had many devoted people in her life and left a loving mother Virginia, sister Diane and brothers David and Michael Giacomini and family.

She led a very fulfilling, happy and successful life. She was a pioneer of early education in a child day care facility and the wwner and director of The Children’s Village Early Learning Centers.

Many of her closet friends and dearest friends will be celebrating her life along with the family this Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in The Church of the Assumption, 791 Potters Avenue, Providence.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. 

Visiting hours will be today from 4 - 8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spurwink R.I., One Spurwink Place, Cranston, R.I. 02910.
