Benjamin G. Lombardi, 75, Retired Gulf Oil Worker

His calling hours are today and his funeral is Saturday from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home in Riverside.

Benjamin G. Lombardi Jr., of Lincoln Avenue, Barrington died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 after a brief fight with lung cancer. He was 75.

He was the husband of Eda V. (Mancini) Lombardi; they were married for 49 years. Born March 5, 1938, he was the son of the late Benjamin G. and Mary Camilla (Kelly) Lombardi Sr. 

Born and raised in Pawtucket, he graduated from Pawtucket West Senior High School, Class of 1955. He served four Honorable years in the U.S. Air Force then worked for the former Gulf Oil Corp. in East Providence before retiring in 1986. He was a faithful communicant of Holy Angels Church in Barrington and a 49-year resident of Barrington.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children and six grandchildren: Lisa M. Weisman, husband David and their son Joseph of Coventry, Andrew B. Lombardi, wife Susan and their children Kayla, Drew, and Ryan of Saunderstown and Brian L. Lombardi, wife Jennifer and their children Abigail and Brian of Goffstown, NH, two brothers: Vincent P. Lombardi of Warwick and Louis P. Lombardi of West Warwick and many nieces and nephews. 

His funeral will be held on Saturday Sept. 14, from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, at 10 am. Burial will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington. 

Calling hours are today from 4-8 pm. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
