Anthony J. Lombardi, 70, Stone Mason, Sexton

His calling hours are Wednesday and his funeral is Thursday from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home in Riverside.

Anthony J. Lombardi, of Foote Street, Barrington, died peacefully on Jan. 9, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was 70.

He was the husband of the late Louise C. (Saracino) Lombardi. A lifelong resident of Barrington, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Josephine (Conti) Lombardi. 

Lombardi was a stone mason for Josal Construction for 40 years.  He was a lifelong communicant and head usher at Holy Angels Church in Barrington, where he also was the church sexton for the past 18 years. He was a member of the St. Anthony Society and enjoyed spending time with his loving family. 

He is survived by three daughters; Carole L. Bernardo of Barrington, Karen A. Cox of Barrington and Kathy A. Lombardi of Barrington, a son; Anthony J. Lombardi Jr. of Atlanta, GA, three brothers; Joseph D. Lombardi of Warren, Salvatore Lombardi of Barrington and Paul Lombardi of Dover, Delaware, six grandchildren and his faithful dog; Josie. He was the brother of the late Crescenzo Lombardi and Anna Mastriano. 

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday Jan. 15, in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside, from 4-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday Jan. 16,  in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 9 am.
