Christmas Eve, Christmas Day Services

Barrington churches offering traditional, family services with carols, special readings and plenty of candlelight on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, which falls on a Sunday this year.

Here are the special services planned for Christmas Eve at Barrington's churches.

, 25 Old County Road, Pastor Paul Martins. Christmas Eve: 5 pm family service; 7 pm traditional service with lessons and carols. Christmas Day: 10:30 am.

, 461 County Road, The Rev. Dr. Jeff Larsen and the Rev. Elizabeth Barnum. Christmas Eve: 5 pm service of carols and story especially for children; 10 pm service of readings and carols, with vocal and bell choirs.

, 400 County Road, the Rev. Patrick Notley. Christmas Eve: 7 pm service of lessons and carols by candlelight, with anthems by adult and child choirs. Christmas Day: worship service at 11 am.

, 230 Washington Road, the Rev. Regina Blount. Christmas Eve: 7 pm family service, with carols and other music by guest harpist Shelley Otis. Christmas Day: 9 am informal service with carols and children welcome to come in pajamas.

, 341 Maple Ave. The Rev. Raymond Ferrick. Christmas Eve: 5 pm vigil Mass; Christmas Day: 8 and 10:30 am Masses.

, 49 Middle Highway, the Rev. Andrew Simon. Christmas Eve: 5 pm family service; 11 pm candlelight service with carols and verse.

, 191 County Road, the Rev. Robert Marshall. Christms Eve:  Noon Holy Eucharist; 4 pm children's pageant and Holy Eucharist. 7 pm Holy Eucharist; 10 pm Holy Eucharist with instruments, organs and vocalists. Christmas Day: 10 am Holy Eucharist.

, 108 Washington Road, the Rev. Robert E. Hawkins. Christmas Eve: 4 pm service with  contemporary choir; 6 pm children's Mass; 10 pm Mass, with the adult choir. Christmas Day: Masses at 7, 8:30 and 10 am.
