Come to the Second Annual Fiddle n' Folk Fest on August 4 in Haines Park (near the boat launch) from 1:00 - 7:00, produced by Local Brew Events. A variety of fiddlers and bands will perform a great range of fiddling styles, from traditional to modern. Some of the performers include The Bluegrass Invitation Band, French Roast (featuring Michelle Kaminsky and Alan Bradbury), The Old Fiddlers Club of RI, Sundial, Katherine Quinn, Bob Drouin with Rich Horwitz (5-string banjo) and Kevin Doyle (percussion/step-dance), Andy and Dustine Reich, and Bay Spring Folk. Sponsors include RI State Council on the Arts, Wildflour Vegan Bakery and Juice Bar, The Bay Team, Barrington Public Library, Bay Spring Community Center, RIDEM, and Barrington Parks and Recreation. The event is free, although donations will be accepted. Food trucks and craft vendors will sell goods all day. Kids activities will keep the little ones safely occupied when they are not dancing in front of the stage. For more information go to Local Brew Coffeehouse on Facebook. Rain date is August 5.
