Barrington Vets Pay Tribute to Their Own

The United Veterans Council hosts the annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Honor Roll and Barrington Veterans Memorial near Town Hall.

Barrington recognized its veterans today, Nov. 11, at the annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Honor Roll and memorial next to Town Hall.

Members of the United Veterans Council, who laid two wreaths, and keynote speaker Paul Duchinos of Barrington, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, paid tribute to the town’s veterans from all wars dating back to the American revolution. Veterans council president Michael Tripp presided over the ceremony.

Approximately 50 people came out for the ceremony, which also served to rededicate the memorial and the new stone wall that finished off the memorial to veterans. Work on the wall was finished several weeks ago.
