She's Summer Reading All-Star
Mercedes Fitch was selected for the RI 2012 All-Star Reading Team as a representative of the Barrington Public Library.
A Barrington girl is a summer reading all-star.
Mercedes Fitch is a member of the 2012 All-Star Reading Team selected by Citizens Bank, the Pawtucket Red Sox, Pepsi Beverage Company and the Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services.
Mercedes was one of 55 kids between the ages of 6 and 12 picked for the team. She represented the Barrington Public Library in the Dream Big READ, Summer Reading Program that encouraged kis to read during the past summer.

Mercedes attended a PawSox game in August with her family. She had a chance to win a trip to Disney World.
She was photographed on the field at McCoy Stadium with the PawSox mascot; Ned Handy, president of Citizens Bank RI, and Tom Cardoza of Pepsi.
