See 'Top Hat'; Play Tennis, Knit

The Wednesday afternoon film series on the evolution of movie musicals continues today in the Barrington library with a classic Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movie.

The Barrington library film and lecture series, Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance!: The Evolution of Movie Musicals, continues this afternoon at 1 pm in the auditorium with “Top Hat,” one of 10 musicals that Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers made together.

A weekly farmers’ market operates at Haines Memorial State Park in Barrington from 2 to 6 pm every Wednesday.

Al Anon, the weekly meeting of adults who were raised in alcoholic homes, meets at St. James Lutheran Church, 49 Middle Highway, at 7 pm.
