Financial Town Meeting Tonight

Cary Grant matinee film series continues in library; author gives evening talk on Alzheimer's and his memoir.

Barrington’s annual is tonight at 7 in the Barrington auditorium; a no-tax-hike budget is up for approval by voters along with three motions to save wood shop at the middle school that would boost taxes.

The May matinee hosted by librarian Doug Swiszcz continues today at 2 pm in the Barrington Public Library auditorium. Grant stars with Deborah Kerr in a 1957 film about passengers who meet on a cruise and have a shipboard romance. They agree to meet atop the Empire State Building in six months if they still feel love for one another.

Author Brad Pitman talks about and the constructive approach and positive changes that can result when caregivers choose action over inaction. The talk is based on his book, Ma is Back: Restoring My Mother's Memory, based on his experiences caring for his mother. It starts at 7 pm in the auditorium.
