Election Series Continues; Toastmasters Meet

Barrington Town Council's president, June Speakman, discusses Super Pacs at the 'Take Six' election series in the library auditorium.

“Take Six: The Big Issues of 2012” election series continues at 7 pm in the Barrington library auditorium with Town Council President June Speakman, a professor of political science at Roger Williams University, speaking on ‘Super Pacs’;  the session is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters.

The East Bay Toastmasters meet at 5:30 pm at 30 Alexander Ave., East Providence, for anyone who wants to improve their oral communication and leadership skills.

Join Margie Reed for a lively story hour and craft project for children every Thursday at Barrington Books, Barrington Shopping Plaza, at 10:30 am.

Take a free Zumba class at 426 Fitness, 426 Metacom Ave., in Warren and benefit the animal shelter where Barrington pets often are taken for treatment and shelter. The class starts at 7 pm.

Check your blood pressure at the Barrington Senior Center at 10:30 am and return to play Bingo at 1 pm.
