Scholarship Fund for Barrington Grad's Sons Seeks Your Help

Campaign started by colleague to provide some financial support for 3 young sons of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Class of 1995 at BHS.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, a Barrington High School graduate in 1995, died in December last year after a 10-month battle with ALS. He left behind his wife, Bethany, and three sons, Matthew, Benjamin and Thomas, all under the age of 6 when he died.

A campaign at Barrington Christian Academy to raise funds for his sons was started soon after his death. Known as the Fitzpatrick Boys Scholarship Fund, it has raised $925 to date with a goal of $2,000, according to GoFundMe.

Some background on Fitzpatrick: He enlisted in the Army National Guard and received advanced training as an MP. He served in the 102nd Network Warfare Squadron of the Rhode Island Air National Guard. During his 15 years of military service, he was deployed overseas in Bosnia, Croatia, and Guantanamo Bay.
