Using What You Know to Write a Mystery: an author panel

Been a housewife? Domestic worker? Single parent? Lived in a creepy old house? You think you're life's been boring---but exciting plots are buried in your own expertise. Find the clues to the novel only you can write at Barrington Public Library on Tuesday, November 5 at 7 PM for an author panel discussion in Using What You Know To Write a Mystery. Join mystery writers Judy Copek, Kate Flora, and Dale Phillips from Sisters in Crime New England, a chapter of the international organization Sisters in Crime. Meet the Panelists:

Judy Copek--an information systems nerd for 20 years, Judy's latest novel is Festival Madness, a book of technology, Burning Man, murder and a morally conflicted sleuth.

Kate Flora--teaches writing for Grub Street in Boston and is the former international president of Sisters in Crime. She's written 12 books including, Finding Amy a 2007 Edgar nominee that has been optioned for film. Her current projects iclude a true crime novel, a screenplay, and a novel in linked stories.

Dale Phillips--has appeared on stage, television, and in an independent feature flm. He's competed in Jeopardy and Think Twice. He's also published the Zack Taylor mystery series, along with over 25 short stories and collections, poetry, and non-fiction.
