Poetry & Art exhibit

This is the opening reception for Poetry & Art, an exhibition of contemporary poetry & responsive art. Sponsored by the Wickford Art Association, a collection of 55 poem by local writers was compiled. 55 juried artist members of the WAA were asked to select a poem from the submissions & create a piece of art inspired by the poem. The poets & artists will meet for the first time at this opening reception where all the poems & artwork will be on display. This collection of artwork & poems has also been printed in a book & the book will be available for sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the RI Food Bank. If you're unable to make the opening, the exhibit will be open to the public during regular gallery hours until August 25th.
