Music from the “Golden Age” to Perform at Barrington Public Library

Husband and wife duo Sonny and Perley will delight with a concert of music from the “Golden Age” of the twentieth century at Barrington Public Library on Sunday, April 6 at 2 PM.

Titled “The Great American Songbook,” vocalist Perley Rousseau and pianist Sonny Daye will highlight composers such as Gershwin, Berlin, Porter, Ellington and more.

“Sonny and Perley know their way around what is usually called the Great American Songbook. Sometimes they play straight jazz; sometimes they play Latin inflected jazz. Either way, when they perform the works of Porter, Ellington, or Berlin, they create something lovely to listen to,” says Metroland Magazine of Albany, New York.
