Barrington Recreation Department is Searching for . . . 

Lifeguards:  The Town of Barrington Recreation Department is seeking to hire lifeguards for the summer season (May 24th through September 1st) at the Town Beach. Must be surf or non-surf certified and at least 16 years of age.

Camp Counselors:  The Town of Barrington Recreation Department is seeking to hire camp counselors for two 6-week full-day summer camps – ages 4-7 and ages 8-12.  Must have experience working with children; be motivated, enthusiastic and reliable.  Some expertise in a specialty area such as crafts, theatre, sports, etc. a plus.  Runs from June 30 through August 8th.  18 or older preferred.

Beach Attendants:  
The Town of Barrington Recreation Department is seeking to hire beach attendants for the summer season at the Town Beach.    Experience in handling money.  Reliable. Must be able to follow money-handling procedures.  Part-time.  May 24th through September 1st.

Camp Pokanoket Director:  The Town of Barrington Recreation Department is seeking an experienced and qualified Camp Director for the Town’s 6-week full-day camp for ages 8 to 12.  This position is involved with the planning and implementation of the day camp programs, including, but not limited to games, sports, arts and crafts, music, activities, field trips and special events.  This position is also responsible for direct supervision of all camp staff and interacting with the public with regard to the camp programming and protocol.  Candidates must have skills and experience in planning implementing a day camp program of creative activities that provide for an atmosphere of fun and learning.  Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Starting Rate:  $11.50 per hour;
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM; six weeks beginning June 23 or June 30 (depending on when school ends).
