Try Kids Night Out, Ducks 'n Donuts, and Wild Saturday
Weekend offers array of activities to keep your kids occupied, especially on Saturday.
Looking for some things for the kids to do this weekend? Check out these happenings in and around Barrington:
Kids’ Night Out at the Y
Where/When: Bayside Family YMCA, West St., 6 to 9 pm Friday
Why go: Twice-a-month Kids’ Night Out events are a great chance to get your kids involved in fun activities while you enjoy a night out. It’s open to children age 4 to 10. Maximum registration is 35. Call 245-2444, ext. 113, for more information.
Pricing: Register before 5 pm on the Thursday before the night out and the rate is $15 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in the family. Drop-ins are $25 and $15.

Where/When: Mount Hope Farm, 300 Metacom Ave., Bristol, 10 am to noon Saturday
Why go: The Audubon Society leads a search for diving ducks in the waters off of Mount Hope Farm in Bristol. You might spot Goldeneye, Bufflehead, Brant and Eider ducks – maybe even a seal. Bring binoculars. Donuts provided.

Master Gardener Class for Kids
Where/When: Blithewold Mansion & Gardens, 101 Ferry Rd. (Route 114), Bristol from 9 to 11 am Saturday
Why go: This Saturday morning class for kids in grades 3 to 5 will continue through April 23 and is a great opportunity for them to learn about gardening from the pros – and to get dirty while having fun.

Wild Saturday at the Audubon
Where/When: Audubon Environmental Education Center, 1401 Hope St. (Route 114), Bristol at 11 am Saturday
Why go: Nature programs for families are free with admission on Wild Saturdays.
Pricing: Admission is $6 adults; $4 children 4-12; under 4 free.
