Cardi Corp. workers remove a construction boat Monday afternoon, Jan. 13, at the Central Bridge in Barrington, where replacement work is in its fourth month. Sheeting has been installed at the west abutment, where crews will pre-drill and then drive test piles, according to the latest update from the Rhode Island Department of Transportation. Cofferdams have been built at the east abutment to provide a safe, dry work environment. Alternating traffic patterns runs weekdays from 7am to 3:30 pm.
